Piastrina FAQs

Piastrina is a cut of smalti that has a very flat surface, much like standard vitreous glass. The piastrina stocked by di Mosaico is thinner than normal cut smalti (3/16" vs. 1/4") and approximately 3/4" x 3/4" in size.

For ordering purposes, consider the following:

• 90-95 pieces per pound
• 2.7 pounds = 1 square foot of finished mosaic

Piastrina is available in the full smalti color palette and Di Mosaico stocks over 120 colors.
